USC TRIO Programs identifies, selects, trains and places low-income and first-generation, minority college-bound students, aged 11 to 27, into higher education programs. Once placed, the program helps these students complete their post-secondary education. The primary funding source is the U.S. Department of Education's TRIO Program.
